Personalize Website by Specific Hours of the Day

Same-day delivery, 24-h delivery or next-day delivery are among the many tools online businesses use to lure clients into spending money. However, most businesses, especially the smaller ones, cannot promise same- or next-day delivery to everyone around the globe. Usually, they can realistically offer it only to clients in certain countries and only if they make an order before a specific hour of the day.

So the question is how to let the customers whom you can afford to offer same-/next-day delivery know about that option without bothering users from other countries, where it is unavailable? Our answer is the Personalization WP plugin by Flowcraft.

Let’s say you want to offer next-day delivery to clients in France, who made an order before 5 p.m. After you have picked a name for your new condition, go to “Condition rules” and choose “is between hours” from the drop down menu. Then set the time-frame – 12:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. – and the time zone to which these hours apply – (GMT+01:00) Paris.

Now you have to ensure that only users from France will see your next-day delivery offer. Simply click “Add rule” and choose “user is from” and then France. Combining these two conditions guarantees that only users browsing between 12 a.m. and 5 p.m. in France will see you offer. Your website will appear completely unchanged to the rest.

The next step is to choose what to show to the users you just targeted. The content editor in section “When condition is met” is the place to insert your message. It can include an image, a text, custom HTML or even a shortcode from another plugin.

Mark “Don’t show anything” under the section called “When condition is NOT met” and turn on Google Analytics tracking. A new event will automatically be created in your website’s Google Analytics for you to monitor the results of the campaign.

The last step is to hit “Publish” at the upper right corner of the screen, copy the automatically generated shortcode and paste it into your post, page or text widget content.

The next time a user in France browses your website between 12 a.m. and 5 p.m., he/she will be more likely to make an order, knowing that it will be fulfilled the next day. Good luck!
